This piece of media demonstrates my ability in the vertical, social format. Quick cuts and snappy editing, accompanied by captions. This class, along with my professional fellowship has allowed me to learn how best to capture this style–probably the future of video editing.
To me, this piece of work embodies a new frontier for my skillset. While I had a very baseline comprehension of After Effects coming in, this class, and more specifically this project, gave me a much better understanding of motion graphics than I had before. More specifically, It refined my grasp on typographic motion. Using the Jitter web program, I was able to piece together a fun, engaging lyric video for a song from one of my alltime favorite bands.
The following work is a piece I did about local storyteller and film creator, Jake Miskin. It represents an ability to conduct interviews and piece together a story in an aesthetically coherent way.
